ABOUT SAD MAGIC
What is the luxury to be playful. To get so sad, over nothing in particular, that it’s almost funny…and to spend days like that. Is there a certain magic in that melancholy? Is there some quality in despair that creates a richness in the unknown? Is it possible that it is in that richness that we connect with others and collaborate on our stories, mythologies, and passions as they form progress shots along the way. This is a place to connect a playful and somewhat magical melancholy, collaborate with friends,, and create a transaction with those same places in you.
ABOUT MAGIC SAD
An optimist’s art gallery opened as a curatorial project by Ruth (Borum) Loveland in the Fall of 2021. Within these walls, you’ll find all things obsessive, subtle, optimistic, magic, sad, and a few things in between. Ruth Loveland is an artist who also uses Magic Sad as her home base and studio. The Magic Sad rainbows depicted here are her work.
